Next Growth Phase: Felix Reichlmair Appointed Managing Director of MRM Distribution

MRM Distribution is entering its next phase of growth: as of 16 June 2026, Felix Reichlmair assumes the role of Managing Director of the software distributor. He succeeds Melanie Achten, who has shaped the company in recent years and played a key role in transforming it from a traditional software reseller into a specialised distributor and advisory partner for the IT channel.

Under Melanie Achten’s leadership, MRM Distribution has consistently evolved. What began as a business focused on pre-owned Microsoft licences has developed into a broadly positioned specialist distributor for licensing, virtualisation, AI solutions and hyperautomation. At the same time, partnerships with leading buying groups and purchasing organisations have been expanded, and the company’s position in the German-speaking ICT channel has been sustainably strengthened.
“The past few years have been characterised by change, growth and many strategic decisions. Together with our team, we have successfully established MRM as a trusted partner for system integrators and IT service providers. Now is the right time to hand over responsibility and enable the next stage of development,” says Melanie Achten.

Felix Reichlmair is a recognised industry expert with in-depth knowledge of MRM. After roles at international technology companies, he returned to the business in early 2026 as Head of Sales. Since then, he has strengthened collaboration with vendors, partners and system integrators, and set important impulses for the company’s continued development.

Looking ahead, Reichlmair aims to further expand MRM’s role as a strategic partner for the IT channel. Key priorities include broadening the vendor portfolio, enhancing advisory services, and supporting system integrators in increasingly complex licensing, infrastructure and modernisation projects. “The requirements for system integrators and IT service providers are changing rapidly. Customers no longer expect isolated product expertise, but clear guidance and commercially viable solutions. This is exactly where we see our role. MRM combines extensive licensing expertise, strong vendor partnerships and a highly skilled advisory team. We will continue to build on this foundation in a focused and consistent manner,” explains Felix Reichlmair.

This leadership change reflects both continuity and a new momentum. The company’s strategic direction remains unchanged, while new vendors, additional services and further growth opportunities in the channel will be developed.
